ABOUT US

The Diva Group, Inc., is an established 501(c) 3 Colorado non-profit corporation with a mission to empower women from different cultures to excel in skiing and team work in order to produce leaders in the ski industry.

The Diva Group Inc. supports the Aspen Divas and Aspen Diva-ettes; synchronized ski teams, composed of top female ski pros from around the world including Argentina, Australia, USA, New Zealand, France, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Each team is comprised of 6-8 individuals and coaches. Members of the teams are female skiers who, like all team members show a keen interest in the ideals and rigors of skiing excellence to stretch physical and emotional limits and to reach across cultural boundaries.

The Diva Group Inc. also hosts the Aspen World Synchro Championships since 2006. The two day competition boasts men and women’s teams from across the United States, Canada and Argentina. The first day of competition consists of a mandatory free style bump run by two members of each team and two timed runs down a Nastar style race course by four members of each team. The second day of the competition sees the teams ski fourr passes including the compulsory school figure.

DIVA HISTORY

The Divas were founded in 1998 by Jerry Berg. In 2003 the Divas took over hosting the World Championships as the Aspen World Synchro Championships event.

In 2014 the team won the overall event for the first time in the open division with a new format which included racing and bumps as well as the synchro competition. Divas have won the Women's division many times and placed 2nd and 3rd overall a few times, 2014 was their year!

DIVA BOARD

The Diva Group, Inc., is managed by a diverse board of directors composed of past members of the Aspen Divas and professionals. The Board is responsible for the financial integrity of the corporation, sets high standards for skiing and the highest level of integrity and sportsmanship among its membership. The Board draws from an enviable pool of coaches because of its long term association with hosting the most notable synchronized skiing competition in North America.
